HOLIDAY RELAX AND RESTORE WORKSHOP

Take some time out for YOU during this hectic holiday season! Join Paula for a relaxing class to renew your spirit.  This workshop includes yoga as well as restorative extended meditation.

BALLET INTENSIVE SERIES
Start the New Year off right!
Whether you're a beginner to ballet, or more advanced here's your chance to focus on your turns, such as pirouettes and chaîneé turns, as well as grand battement (big kicks) which will be used in leaps like grand jeté and saut de chat.
This 2 hour class will begin with a short barre to properly warm up the body and then progress to center and across the floor with small jumps (petite allegro), all types of turns, and lastly, large jumps/leaps (grand allegro). Class will conclude with stretching to increase range of motion and flexibility, and help to decrease soreness.

KIDS YOGA (AGES 4-8)

MOMMY & ME YOGA (INFANT-CRAWLING)

Bond with your baby and get back to yoga class! This class includes exercise for mom and baby, partner poses, songs, and relaxation techniques. Anything goes in this class: feeding, changing a diaper, etc. Join our favorite doula and yoga teacher Kerri!  Check out more info on our class page.

BARRE TEACHER TRAINING

Have you always dreamed of being behind the mic and leading your own barre fitness class? Stay tuned for exciting updates regarding our new barre training curriculum which will train you to become a certified barre instructor in our program with support including choreography options, music playlists, etc.  Our next training date is coming up on January 12th, 2019, from 2:30-8:30pm.  Mallory, Green Locus Yoga owner and barre teacher, will be your instructor.

YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

NEW YEARS DETOX YOGA WORKSHOP

This 1.5 hour class combines postures (asana), and breathing techniques (pranayama) to help you get rid of toxins that may have built up during the holiday season.  Throughout the practice, Pam Velez, Registered Yoga Teacher and Holistic Health coach, will share various postures and breathing techniques that will support the body’s natural detoxification process by increasing circulation, compressing and twisting internal organs and encouraging relaxation. Postures will be offered with various options to suit all levels.

FLOW YOGA at TEMPLE TERRACE  REC CENTER

This is an open level class. Flow is a popular, contemporary style of yoga.  These classes focus on a smooth transition of yoga poses connecting the movement with the breath.  There is a constant movement in these classes for an individual looking for more fluid asanas.  Classes are set to music and may be challenging, dynamic, and also relaxing.  Students will learn to connect to their breath for a healthy connection between mind and body.  Modifications are provided for all levels of students. This 6 week series begins January 9th 2019 and is just $45 for the 6 weeks for members of the Temple Terrace recreation center of $60 for non-members.

YOGA 101 FOR BEGINNERS - TEMPLE TERRACE

During this beginner series, you will learn the foundations of yoga class.  A wonderful way to stasrt your yoga practice, this will include breathing techniques, intention setting, posture breakdowns and how to relax at the end of class.  Classes are workshop style, allowing questions and spending time on the fundamentals of postures and transitions between them. At the end of this series, students should feel confident attending other yoga classes. Modifications are provided for all levels of students. This 6 week series begins January 9th 2019 and is just $45 for the 6 weeks for members of the Temple Terrace recreation center of $60 for non-members.
