Felicia has a passion for making yoga accessible to all people. She believes by creating therapeutic flows, connecting breath with movement, and by letting students adjust their practice to their own body types that everyone can benefit from a yoga practice.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio Heather Mills grew up studying with renowned artists and teachers including Artour Bajanov, of the Moscow Ballet Theatre, Bashkirian State Ballet and Bolshoi; Karen Gabay and Raymond Rodriguez of Ballet San Jose and Joanne Morscher of North Coast Ballet Theatre.
Heather received a dance scholarship to attend Mercyhurst College where she earned her BA in Dance Management in 2011 under the direction of Tauna Hunter. While at Mercyhurst she fostered her love of jazz, modern and contemporary styles, which she continues to use today. Upon graduation she went on to dance professionally with The Ballet Theatre Maryland in Annapolis for three seasons under the direction of Dianna Cuatto.
In 2014 Heather moved to Florida to join Tampa Ballet Theatre. In addition to dancing with the company Heather also takes on the role Company Ballet Mistress. Professionally, Heather has performed multiple roles in classical, neo-classical, and contemporary works. Some of Heather’s favorite roles to date include the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, Juliet from Romeo and Juliet, Lucy from Dracula, Giselle from Giselle, and Aurora from Sleeping Beauty.
Heather has a passion for teaching and has taught at many schools around the country. Including Lisa Wilhelm Acad. of Dance, Ballet Theatre of Maryland where she was the head of their outreach teaching program, Rizing Starz Dance Acad, Steps School of Dance, and Tampa Bay Ballet. She enjoys sharing her passion and of love of dance with all her students and is always inspired by their growth.
Kerri went through a transformation when she became a mother 4 years ago. As she navigated her new role and the challenge of postpartum depression and anxiety, she found yoga. A little while later she decided she wanted to do more than practice yoga, but facilitate the connection of the mother to her (new and transforming) self and her baby. She is a 200-hr certified yoga instructor who has also completed her Level 1 Blooma Prenatal Yoga Instructor certification, Kidding Around Yoga instructor certification, Connection Coalition trauma informed outreach yoga teacher certification, Yoga Therapy for Depression certificate, and Maternal Mental Health training through the Seventh Mom Project amongst other training and courses.
She is a labor doula trained by Birth Arts International and a Mindful Motherhood professional trained facilitator. Her overall goal is to provide support to moms during their perinatal period. She currently teaches many family classes at Green Locus Yoga including our prenatal, mommy and me, toddler, and kids yoga classes and series'.
Kim is a dancer turned yogi with a background in classical ballet and modern dance. Kim is a native Floridian whose dance studies include the DeParis School of Ballet, St. Petersburg College, and dance major at USF. Kim professionally danced with the Florida Gulf Coast Ballet Co. and St. Petersburg College Modern Dance group. In 2002 Kim had her first child (of 4) and took a prenatal yoga class, she fell in love with the way yoga weaved her dance experience to the yoga mind body connection. She then began her journey as a certified yoga teacher, combining her love of movement with the power of the breath and mind body connection. Kim has a 200 hour Yoga Cert from Philadelphia Power Yoga, 85 Hour Prenatal Yoga Cert from Om Births Boulder, Prenatal Yoga Cert from Om Births Boston, and is also certified in the BarScuplt Barre method. A life long student in the practice of movement, Kim is always searching for inspiration from her peers, students, and mentors. She has trained with Seane Corn, Kathryn Buddig, David Swenson, Baron Baptiste, Missy White, and many other dedicate yogis. Kim is passionate about sharing Yoga and Barre and her classes are always fresh, fun and challenging in a approachable, encouraging environment. When she is not teaching, Kim is also a Yoga Teacher Trainer, offering Barre certifications, assisting in Yoga TT programs and is also a doula. Kim’s background and experience could not be anymore perfect for our fused studio of yoga, barre, and ballet.
Leyna Johnson has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and has been teaching Group Fitness throughout the Tampa Bay community for the past 13 years. She has a wide breadth of experience teaching strength, flexibility, and aerobic formats. She loves incorporating various yoga principles into her classes and practicing the importance of mindfulness and breath.
Leyna is RYT200 certified. She has her Bachelors (BSBA) in Marketing from University of Florida, and her Masters (MBA) from University of South Florida.
She is excited to be able to share her passion for living a healthy and active lifestyle and her love of exercise. In her free time, she loves traveling abroad and believes that accumulating memories and experiences, not stuff, is the key to finding contentment.
Maya Trajkovski grew up in Ontario, Canada. She started taking classical ballet at the age of three and expanding her dance interest into hip-hop, tap, jazz, and lyrical. She has performed in the Nutcracker (Canadian version with Ballet Jorgen) in 2003, 2004, and 2011. She was also part of Windsor Dance eXperience (WDX), a dance theatre company, as a senior cast member as well as a choreographer. Maya has over six years dance instructor experience as well as competition choreography experience. Maya graduated USF in 2015 with a Bachelor (Cum Laude) in Psychology and a minor in Applied Behavior Analysis. She is also a certified dance instructor in ABA Sports Innovation’s proprietary ABASI POINTE Program.
Melissa is a former professional ballet dancer for the Atlanta and Central Florida Ballet, an ABASI certified instructor in our proprietary POINTE Program, AND Creative Loafing’s “Best of the Bay” Choreographer! Melissa loves teaching adults and seeing them improve in technique and performance. She is silly, creative, and known for her incredibly precise teaching style.
Michele is a RYT 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certfied Instructor. She is also a certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. Michele graduated with a Bachelors degree from the University Of Pittsburgh and graduated again in 2017 from St Pete College with her Associates In Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Michele enjoys taking classes as much as teaching them. In her spare time you will find her either at the gym or out running or riding with friends. She has competed in many road races, and competed in several half iron triathlons.
Michele is excited to share her love of yoga with the members of Green Locus. She prefers a flow style class so she can add a variety of sequences, breath and movement to her classes.
Natalie is E-RYT 200 500 hour certified. She is a foodie, wine lover, and artist, with a unique yoga teaching style. She lives her life with balance and moderation and teaches from the heart to weave the yoga sutras into her classes. Natalie will teach you how to withdraw from the senses, practice non violence, non stealing, and non greed, and remind others to be their authentic selves. Her favorite quote is “remember it doesn’t matter how deep into a posture you go, what does matter is who you are when you get there.” -Om Shanti
Pam has been practicing yoga for the past 10 years. She began taking yoga classes at a gym with the intention of getting a good workout. What began as part of an exercise routine has become much more. Pam credits yoga for making her a better person: more patient and compassionate and less judgmental. She is goofy and loves to laugh and brings this element of lightheartedness to each class.
Pam is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher and is currently studying to obtain her 300 hour certification. To compliment her love of yoga, Pam is a holistic health coach who teaches wellness related workshops to groups and corporate clients to help them increase productivity, decrease absenteeism and reduce the need for medical care. Pam also frequently attends the barre fitness classes at GLY and enjoys mixing up her workout routine between barre and yoga.
Paula is a 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher. In addition to yoga, she enjoys taking barre classes as well, and has taken over 1,000 classes in this format. Prior to becoming a yoga instructor, Paula owned her own Jazzercise studio for 17 years. Her teaching goal is to bring her learnings to students through mindful movements suited to those new to yoga, those who need more of a gentle approach, and those who prefer a more general movement class. She is so excited to teach at Green Locus Yoga as well as in our off site recreational programs at Temple Terrace.
Sarah Tuhy, aka "Miss Sarah" is a certified Kids Yoga instructor. She has been weaving Yoga into her life since she was a teenager, practicing in the UK and Thailand. She began seriously pursuing yoga here in January 2018 and has been passionate about the benefits a consistent practice bring to her life.
Wishing to learn more about how to bring these benefits with her family and others, she became certified through Kidding Around Yoga. She believes children today are navigating a world that has the potential to trigger anxiety and stress. She aims to incorporate the science of yoga through games, songs and other activities to give kids the tools they can return to whenever they need them. She has extensive experience working with children as a nanny, a preschool teacher, a children's theater teacher and also, as a mom to Lola.
Shari Florio has her 200hr RYT certification that she obtained from Bella Prana in Tampa, FL 2015. She embraced yoga in 2004 as a way to cross-train her normal exercise routine and to help balance with her passion for running. With a background in dance, she quickly fell in love with the practice and the benefits it brings. She aims to share her love of yoga with her students and help them connect with their breath and the natural flow and rhythm of their bodies.
Shelley is a classically trained dancer in the Vaganova technique. She danced with the Baltimore Ballet under the artistic direction of Cem Catbas, as well as with the Tampa Ballet Theatre. She has performed professionally in classical and contemporary ballets such as Chopiniana, La Bayadere, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Carnival of the Animals, Dracula and more.
Shelley has been enjoying teaching students of all ages for 8 years and is an adept instructor not only in ballet but other forms of dance, such as modern, contemporary, and ballroom. She is also a certified personal trainer.
Vanessa has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. She recently completed a 200 hour Yoga & Meditation program. Additionally, Vanessa has a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and practices a passion for healing and helping people go beyond their perceived limitations.
She feels yoga has helped her find more compassion and peace, both for herself and others. Vanessa uses her intuition, knowledge of the mind-body connection and her love of the practice to inspire those in her classes.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, dancing, and exploring new places.
Vashti Walters began her dance training at the age of 13 at a recreation center in Richardson, Texas. A few months later, she began training seriously at Tuzer Ballet with Tanju and Pat Tuzer, former dancers of the Harkness Ballet, where she received many opportunities, including performing in the Nutcracker. She was also selected to perform in a Turkish folk-dancing group called Rakkas Dance led by Onur Kasaburi.
In 2016, she moved to Florida and joined Tampa Ballet Theatre as a trainee. The following year she was promoted to Apprentice, and will begin the 2018-2019 season as a Company Member. She has performed roles in The Nutcracker, Dracula, Beauty and the Beast and The Sleeping Beauty. She attended Ballet Magnificat's 2015 summer intensive, as well as Tampa Ballet Theatre's 2017 summer intensive and has auditioned and been accepted into the Kirov Academy of Ballet and Ballet Austin's summer intensive programs.
Vashti teaches children’s dance classes, is a certified dance instructor in ABA Sports Innovation’s proprietary ABASI POINTE Program and is excited to broaden her teaching repertoire.

Lois “Lo” Waite began practicing yoga over a decade ago. A former competitive triathlete, duathlete, and long-distance runner, she found yoga to be a great compliment to her training. But as her practice evolved, she discovered yoga to be much more than just a physical practice. The mind-body connection through yoga, meditation, and mindfulness brought a sense of calm and peace to her life. Yoga has made her both emotionally and physically stronger, healthier, and more balanced. She is a compassionate teacher, she teaches students that yoga is much more than exercise, it is a way of life.
Lois creates a space for her students where they are safe and free to explore, learn, and meet their practice exactly where they are. She teaches that yoga is for everyone and that first you find the breath, then you find the version of the pose that is best for you. Her classes teach the benefits of pranayama and meditation, while offering students the ability to grow their practice through focus on proper alignment.
Marianne has been teaching barre for many years and is coming to us as an expert instructor from California! Marianne has experience teaching barre for classes of all ages and levels, and even with as many as 40+ students in her popular classes!
Marianne's certifications include: Barre Above, AFAA group exercise, BootyBarre, UltraFit, a NextBarre Program, Definitive Barre Certification, GloBarre, and Balanced Mat Pilates Levels 1 and 2.
Her goals for her barre classes are to lead a workout that combines the ballet barre, core, and stretching, while using one's own body weight to strengthen and sculpt the body. She enjoys safely leading her client's to achieve their fitness goals.
